‘Anchor Point’ is a homely, 3 bedroom, e-o-t house (sleeping 6) with parking, located in the popular seaside village of Porthtowan. The loft master bedroom offers lovely sea glimpses above the roof tops, and you may be lucky enough to watch the sun set into the sea at the right time of year! Perfectly located for surfers, coastal walkers and beach-goers.
Accommodation comprises:
- Entrance into good sized kitchen which has a range of units and is fully equipped with full size oven and grill, ceramic hob, modern fridge-freezer, microwave, and toaster. There is also a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Lots of cooking equipment and crockery, cutlery, glasses etc are provided.
- Carpeted lounge with a comfy suite (2 sofas and an armchair), footstool, occasional tables. Television with Freeview and a DVD player. Patio doors leading out to rear garden.
- Stairs leading to first floor where you will find two bedrooms and modern family bathroom.
- The first bedroom has a king-sized bed and bedside tables. Clothes hanging area in airing cupboard.
- The second bedroom can sleep up to four. This room has twin beds and also a set of full-sized bunk-beds.
- Modern family bathroom that has a bath with electric shower over, washbasin and WC.
- First floor hallway cupboard contains various leisure supplies for use by the guests, such as bodyboards.
- Second narrow staircase leading up to converted loft space providing light master bedroom with a super king size bed and small en-suite (shower, washbasin and WC). This lovely room has Velux windows under which there is a cosy window seat where you can sit and relax, enjoying the view of the sea and cliffs over the rooftops. At certain times throughout the year you can be lucky enough to watch the sun setting into the sea without having to leave the bedroom – stunning!
- The property benefits from a good space around three sides, with wooden fence all around. The rear garden is laid to lawn and has some garden furniture for you to relax and enjoy the outdoors. To the rear of this garden is a quiet private parking area used by the row of properties behind. The rear garden is joined to the front garden via a narrow stretch of lawn alongside the house, where you will find an open outdoor heated shower on the wall. The front garden is also laid to lawn and backs onto the quiet private parking area for this row of residential properties.

There are two parking spaces right in front of this property, in a residents private car park. A rare luxury for a seaside resort!

*DOG NOTE: The village pubs/eateries are dog-friendly . We are also really pleased that Cornwall Council made a big change in 2020 and the restrictions that were previously in place on this Blue Flag beach are now only in effect from 15 May to 30 September and only between the hours of 10am and 6pm. This means that, as well as full access for a much greater part of the year, we can now exercise dogs in the mornings and evenings for the other months! Hoorah! During the restriction time, don’t worry, as just a stroll over the road is a river and large sandy dunes/green area where dogs are welcome and we also have pretty much immediate access to the stunning SW coastal path. The nearest all-year dog-friendly little beach is just a 4 mile drive up the coast at Trevaunance Cove (further along at Perranporth is a big one). A lot of our guests enjoy going to the huge Tehidy Country Park for big walks too. Rest assured we have lots of very happy repeat doggy visitors year on year during the beach restriction period who are very satisfied with their stay in Porthtowan (please feel free to browse our many reviews!).
